Usage of and Barriers to Green Spaces in Disadvantaged Neighborhoods: A Case Study in Shi Jiazhuang, Hebei Province, China

Studies have shown that disadvantaged neighborhoods fewer green spaces, resources, and facilities, resulting in residents facing more barriers to using spaces. This study aims quantify space usage patterns constraints old residential a large city northern China. A questionnaire survey semi-structured interviews were conducted with 668 residents. Results showed most visited their local spaces daily, often the evenings, spent between 30 60 min there. The number of visits on weekends is higher than weekdays, no difference visiting alone or groups. main reason for was relax enjoy nature, followed by spending time family.
